Happy New Year 2012

2011 ended on an exciting note.

The Occupy Movement was discovering it’s wings. WikiLeaks and Anonymous were maturing and coming into their own as critical components of this new, dynamic social movement that was inspired by the Arab Spring.

While everyone is still working on finding their way and their focus there’s a sense of excitement and hope in the air from those of us who have tired of the rank corruption, abuse of power, and culture of impunity that has been allowed free reign in our respective countries.

What we need is focus.

What we need is Transparency, Accountability and Justice with an end to the “reconciliation” approach that permeates our system in Canada and which allows criminals to walk freely among us without being held accountable for their crimes.

My hopes?

I hope the move by Americans to recall the politicians who voted for the NDAA picks up even more steam in the US. The ball has started to roll and this is an important one for Canadians and Americans alike. It’s important for Canadians because what happens in the US impacts us. The NDAA could certainly have an impact on the current Border Security Agreement being negotiated by the US and Canada.

The fact that these negotiations are secret when they should be transparent is another serious concern. Our governments should not be allowed to arbitrarily determine what can be kept a secret from the citizens who elected them. And we citizens should have input into a process that could have such a deep. long-lasting impact on our relationship with the US and our ability to travel freely between countries.

Ironically, no-one should know this better than the Conservatives whose roots were in the Reform movement in the 1980s and whose movement grew out of an opposition to corruption, greed and abuse of power. It was the Reformers who were demanding transparency and the ability to recall politicians. And now, we are seeing them return to the same corrupt politics that has permeated Canada’s political system historically.

This is precisely why Canadians also need the right to recall politicians, that is, the right to representative recall. The only place in Canada that allows this currently is BC. We cannot do this in any other province or federally.

Calling for the right to representative recall is something the federal Conservatives would be hard pressed to refuse or ignore given that it was the Reform Party, their root organization, that initiated this demand. And if they did so, their hypocrisy would be exposed.

In addition, the right of recall should be established as a Constitutional change so that it cannot be arbitrarily denied on a whim.

In fact, we should consider a complete rewrite of the Charter of Rights and the elimination of the “notwithstanding clauses” which effectively limit our rights to the whim of the government or state at any given time.

Rights are and should be legally established as inviolable. Only a few should be allowed to be restricted and only under exceptional or extreme circumstances limited in the most minimal way. Personally, I would like to see a republican style Constitution.

The Canadian Medical and Psychiatric system is wide open to corruption and abuse and the only reason that the corrupt haven’t been caught is because it is so wide open. Medical and Psychiatric Doctors and other personnel are given a free pass on the unwarranted and baseless assumption that they have the best interests of the patient at heart.

This is demonstrably not true and our experience in Ontario under the current Liberal regime is evidence of this sad fact. We need Patients Rights legislation and tighter Psychiatric Patients Rights legislation to protect patients from this rank systemic corruption which includes but is not limited to extreme and gross medical neglect potentially resulting in medical murder as well as incompetent mental health evaluations by GPs which can have a huge and seriously negative impact on an individual’s life.

In the sick and twisted minds of some medical “professionals” in Ontario, objecting to negligent medical care is an indication of mental illness. Sure it is, when the medical “professionals” are corrupt and want to cover up their gross and sometimes intentional negligence inflicted on a patient under who knows what bizarre rationale.

Our police services should not available for hire by private corporations and private individuals. Allowing this removes the fine line between who is acting on whose behalf and enables corruption.

On a personal note, I would like to see serious criminal legislation in place to deal with the crime of Stalking. The Criminal Harassment legislation does not even come close to describing and dealing with this crime. January is National Stalking Awareness month. Keep an eye on my blog. There will be lots of information on this topic this year, including an analysis of employer, community and organizational participation in this crime and the serious impact it has on a victims life.

And last but not least we need ideas to build a stronger participatory Democracy whether that means changing our parliamentary system to a republic or something else.

Just some thoughts to start out the new year.

Happy New Year!

Democracy by Leonard Cohen.

Occupy Christmas 2011 - Birth Of A New Tradition

Just lovely.

My Occupy Christmyth suggestion:

Don't buy gifts.

Give all of the money you would have spent on gifts to help someone you know who needs your help or to a local charity which aids the poor.

Occupy a Food Kitchen, Food Bank, etc. as a volunteer.

Merry ChristMyth!

Occupy Toronto: Peacefully Evicted Today

The eviction of the Occupy Toronto posters is occurring now (7:39AM).

One of the comments made by protesters was that the police were violating numerous by-laws in the process of the eviction.

May I respectfully remind the Toronto Police Service that they are not above the law including Municipal By-Laws.

8:00AM. The Livestream and several protestors are indicating that CUPE Local 416 is participating in tent removal.

May I also respectfully remind CUPE Local 416 that it is not their job to to perform TPS duties. Clearing the tents amounts to enforcing the law. This is a TPS duty.

8:24AM. Sound cannon (LRAD) observed and police announce that they are planning to use it as a speaker. Request protestors move back.

8:30AM. Police announce (using LRAD as a speaker) that they are attempting the peaceful removal of all structures in the park and are asking for the cooperation of protestors in complying with the court order by removing their possessions and leaving the park. Anyone needing housing and support is invited to attend Adelaide Women's Center for assistance. Once cleared, St. James Park will be open to the public and protestors will be free to engage in their right to free speech. (Paraphrased).

8:35AM. Protestors remind everyone of:
Section 2(c) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, of the people of [city] to peacefully assemble.

and,

Criminal Code C46, Section 176:

Disturbing religious worship or certain meetings

(2) Every one who willfully disturbs or interrupts an assemblage of persons met for religious worship or for a moral, social or benevolent purpose is guilty of an offense punishable on summary conviction.

Idem

(3) Every one who, at or near a meeting referred to in subsection (2), willfully does anything that disturbs the order or solemnity of the meeting is guilty of an offense punishable on summary conviction.

I certainly hope that Occupy Toronto lawyers are taking note of all of this.

Watch it live!

Occupy Toronto: Members of the Police Force Join the 99%

Capt Ray Lewis Joins OWS Protest, Gives Message to NYPD and Slams The Greed 1% from Zuccotti Park

Important Note:

It takes a lot more courage for a police officer or member of the military, etc. to publicly join the 99% than it does the rest of us.

Why?

Because they know that they're going to have to pay a bigger price in terms of being targeted for harassment and arrest than the rest of us.

They are truly admirable men and women of courage and integrity!

These members of the 1%, military, intelligence and police also joined the 99%!

Occupy Toronto: RCMP: Integrity or Corruption

RCMP officers and employees have slowly been coming forward in greater numbers in recent days to talk about some of the abuse that they are subjected to and corruption that they see, on the job and from senior officers and/or co-workers.

I have to say that it takes a huge amount of courage for a member of the RCMP or any other Police, Intelligence and Military agency to do this and these officers should be commended and supported by Canadians. They certainly have my personal respect and admiration.

I’m referring to both the women who were sexually harassed in a way that can only be described as both vicious and malicious and to the men who were bullied and abused likely for no other reason than they disagreed with the wrong person or objected to some unethical behaviour.

The fact is that it is these members of the RCMP who are coming forward to bring these issues out in the open that are the ones who actually care about the integrity of the RCMP.

Those who cover up the abuse, enable and promote the abusers and enforce silence on those who object, are the ones who are undermining the integrity of Canada’s largest police force and destroying it’s professional reputation.

Why should the treatment of Police, Intelligence and Military employees matter to Canadians outside of those agencies?

For two reasons:
  1. First and foremost, Charter Rights apply to every Canadian. There should be no exceptions under any circumstances.
  2. The same employees that are corrupt and abusing their power against their co-workers are also going to be abusing their power against Canadians outside of those agencies. The only way to end the Culture of Impunity and Secrecy that protects the abusers is to support the abused as well as demand a Culture of Transparency. The abused are the ones courageously standing up to defend the integrity of their agency and they are the ones that can ensure that integrity is maintained for all Canadians as well as themselves and their co-workers.
And hopefully members of other agencies like other Police Departments (Provincial and Municipal) and CSIS as well as our Military complex will also come forward so that we can deal with the entire problem and resolve it for everyone, not just one segment at a time.

This particular issue impacts all of us.

A Message To Those Hosting DarkNet Pedophile Sites

I'm going to go with the assumption that you are not pedophiles.

Regular Pornography is obviously not the same thing as Child Pornography. Regular Pornography involves consenting adults and is viewed by consenting adults. If you have to make money through the production of pornography is there a reason why you can't (or won't) focus on the Adult side.

I'm assuming that you are aware that Child Pornography uses real children who do not have the legal ability to consent. We are talking about adults who are actually physically, psychologically and emotionally abusing/sexually assaulting real children and posting pictures of that abuse on the Internet.

This is a criminal act. It's a criminal act because children don't have the ability to consent and it's the responsibility of each and every person in our society to protect those who are vulnerable. Children are at the top of that list because they are the most vulnerable. That makes it your responsibility too.

This is also why pedophiles don't have the right to engage in pedophilia whether it's a sexual orientation or not, or whether it's limited to viewing images on the Internet or not. The few who have publicly claimed to limit their activity to viewing these images have been demonstrated to be liars.

Are you aware of the fact that one pedophile can and often does physically, psychologically and emotionally abuse/sexually assault numerous real children, sometimes hundreds.

When Anonymous identified 190 pedophiles who frequent these seriously hard-core and seriously abusive pedophile sites, they may also have contributed to identifying and saving hundreds of children from continued abuse.

For this, Anonymous deserves our thanks and appreciation.

If you want to find out what the impact of this kind of serious abuse can have on a child, then I suggest you read a book called, When Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase.  There are also numerous others written by victims of child abuse/sexual assault.

If you are hosting these sites, and if you are doing so based on some misguided interpretation of "free speech", you should do well to remember that the limitations on these pedophile sites are not free speech limitations. They are legal limitations based on the necessity of protecting our children from serious abuse which is a criminal act.

Please stop enabling them.

The TOR system is a good system and has been invaluable to those who live in oppressive countries.

And those who contributed to the creation of the TOR system also deserve our thanks and appreciation.

Don't let it be abused by scum.

How Much Do I Love Anonymous? #OpDarkNet

I couldn't possibly count the ways ....

You guys and gals are the best!

I'm not a hacker just a cheer leader  ;-D

Their latest escapade into the dark reaches of DarkNet and the Pedophile Dens that lurk there resulted in 190 pedophiles lurking on the Lolita City (child sexual abuse) site and the Hurt (child rape) site being identified.

From PasteBin:

#OpDarknet Official and Last Release -- 11/2/2011

In the last three weeks of #OpDarknet, we gained much support from The World with our Operation Darknet.  We would like to thank our supporters, in #OpDarknet's cause.  There also was a large amount of resistance from the pedophile community claiming that Tor was their safe haven with messages such as:

Hidden Wiki 'Hard Candy' section - October 20:
"To the vandals, you vandalize the page 1,000,000 times, we will correct it 1,000,001. It will just go back and forth. We are here to stay. People want to run DDoS attacks over tor and think it hurts us, it does. It is our GOD given right that we can choose to have our sexual preferences for youth. It is the same for the any other porn community. It is not what we choose to become, it is who we are. You Anonymous aka #OpDarknet do not have the right to censor us."

Operation Darknet was never intended to bring down Tor or the "darknets".  The only purpose of Operation Darknet was to reveal that a service like the "Tor Project" has been ruined by the 1% using it for Child Pornography.  The rest, 99% consists of Chinese/Iran journalists, Government intelligence fighting a secret war with Al-Qaeda, and us Anons who believe in the right to Free Speech.

However, Child Pornography is NOT FREE SPEECH.  We proved beyond doubt, that 70% of users to The Hidden Wiki access the HARD CANDY section, "a secret directory" used by the pedophiles to access sites like Lolita City and The Hurt Site, a site dedicated to trade of child rape.

In that, We Anonymous planned and successfully executed an complex "Social Engineering" operation dubbed "Paw Printing".  This consisted of the following things:

  1. One week prior to October 27th, 2011, We Anonymous performed OpSec, "Operations Security" against the developers of Tor.  We quietly listened on irc.oftc.net channels #tor and #tor-dev to find when the next major release of Tor would be.
  2. Form our OpSec, we determined that on October 27th 2011, a new Tor version would be released to recent "security" publications about Tor
  3. We secretly contacted our friends at The Mozilla Foundation™, Developers of Firefox™, for them to authorize a developer signer certificate for "The Honey Pawt", a TorButton that we Anon created to funnel all ORIGINATING traffic to our forensic logger.
  4. On October 26th, 2011 we passed certification of a modified TorButton for Firefox™ called "The Honey Pawt" which would be used for the forensic logging of users accessing The "HARD CANDY" and "Lolita City" Tor Hidden Onion sites.  Our TorButton aka "The Honey Pawt" did not contain any malware or virus.  It was developed according to the Firefox/Mozilla Foundation guidelines.
  5. We built a forensic data logger dubbed "Whiny da Pedo" that would capture the IP traffic, log that IP packet, and re-route it through our local Tor Bridge.
  6. On October 27th, 2011 we launched Operation "Paw Printing".  What we did was stopped our #occupy Denial-of-Service on The Hidden Wiki and placed a Tor "security update" message on the "HARD CANDY" section of The Hidden Wiki.
  7. No where else did we place that message except for the HARD CANDY page on The Hidden Wiki.  The message contained a download link to our "The Honey Pawt".  To ensure no conflicts with the existing, TorButton our "The Honey Pawt" replaced the old TorButton Firefox extension.
  8. The pedo who was on the "HARD CANDY" section would then restart Firefox™ and turn our TorButton and attempt to access websites such as The Hidden Wiki and Lolita City.
  9. That traffic would then be forwarded to our special forensics server and log the incoming IP and destination.  If an Tor Onion site matched a known Child Pornography Tor site, we would block the request.  Otherwise, the traffic would then be redirected through the Tor network.
  10. For only 24 hours, we ran Operation "Paw Printing".  On October 28th, 2011.  We shut down the forensics and resumed #occupy The Hidden Wiki to prevent access to the Tor Hidden Wiki Site

Below are mirrors to "whiny_da_pedo_ip_honey_pot.zip", the forensics archive to our operation.  A total of 190 unique IP's and users were identified in the 24HR time frame.  The README.txt contains the method of IP capture and forensics used to determine the individuals accessing the HARD CANDY and Lolita City.

An unique location mapping of these home IP addresses on Google Maps can be displayed here: http://i.imgur.com/ggfVG.png

Also in addition to Operation "Paw Printing", we had an concurrent operation called "Media Storm".  We reconfigured our previous cluster used for timing analysis against Freedom Hosting, to run multiple instances of "Chris Hansen".

During our gathering of evidence against FORMLESS NETWORKING LLC (see: http://pastebin.com/qWHDWCre).  We ran multiple Denial-Of-Service attacks against the Tor services Freedom Hosting and Lolita City.  As for a control to test our suspicions, we separately ran the high bandwidth Distributed Denial-Of-Service attacks against the Tor exit nodes owned by FORMLESS NETWORKING LLC a company affiliated with Mike Perry, the developer of the TorButton.

Each and every time, we were able to verify outages to Freedom Hosting.  Those from our Tor network Denial-of-Service attacks directly against Lolita City / Freedom Host (See: http://pastebin.com/VsWnRM70);  And those with clearnet/WWW Distributed Denial-Of-Service attacks against FORMLESS NETWORKING LLC Tor exit nodes (See: http://torstatus.blutmagie.de).

One Anon contacted Mike Perry on the Tor developer's IRC server: irc.oftc.net, about Anonymous' accusations about his association with FORMLESS NETWORKING LLC.  His response is as follows:

[17:24] <mikeperry> I helped create that model. my llc was the prototype for the 501c3
[17:26] <mikeperry> you really have no idea what the fuck you're doing, do you?
[17:26] <mikeperry> and you've damaged my name, and damaged the tor network
    [17:26] <mikeperry> which you use
[17:26] <mikeperry> you know why I didn't reply to you for 2 days on irc?
[17:26] <mikeperry> cause I was busting my ass working for a deadline today
[17:26] <mikeperry> that you guys almost made me miss
 [17:27]<mikeperry>https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/sponsors/SponsorF/November2011
[17:27] <mikeperry> improving the load balancing of the network you used to DDoS my website
    [17:28] <mikeperry> you see this: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/1778#comment:22
[17:28] <mikeperry> your DDoS probably caused that

To the pedophile community, based on the evidence and forensics, that We Anonymous gathered.  There is no need for you to troll anymore, mmmmkay?  We have already ID'ed you despite "the myth" of Tor "Anonymity".   We "pwned" and "hacked" Freedom Hosting and Lolita City.  If your names for your sick trade consist of "lolita" and "pedo bear", pedophiles are called "Britney" and "squealer" in jail.  If you still don't believe that we hacked Freedom Hosting?  Roger Dingledine, one of the original Tor developers said this on an irc chat, regarding our operations against Freedom Hosting:

[01:09] <arma> even if you learn the secret key for a hidden service, that doesn't tell you who the hidden service is. it only allows you to impersonate the service.
[01:09] <arma> if they broke the key, my guess is they broke into the server and then just took it.

The purpose of #OpDarknet was to collect evidence and prove that %1 of Tor users who use Tor for CP are the ones causing the problems for the rest of the Tor community, the 99%.  In celebration of November 5th 2011, #OpDarknet is officially sailing away for another Lulz.  Bye bye pedo bear.  We are Anonymous, a leaderless collective, fueled only by our ideas.  We give you a last and farewell gift:  http://i54.tinypic.com/120r1jc.jpg

Best, #occupywallstreet, #freeanons, #freetopiary, #antisec
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.

We do not forget.
Expect us.

Drake's crime?
"Drake was a senior executive at the NSA — a “senior change leader” — who professed an ambition to change the agency’s insular culture. He became disillusioned with the agency’s handling of major technology programs and concerned that the NSA was needlessly violating Americans’ privacy through a massive surveillance program adopted after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He raised concerns with officials and the inspector general, and later with the reporter, before leaving the agency in 2008."

Occupy Toronto: MSNBC Reporter Lets Loose On Police Brutality Against Occupy Protesters In The US

Interesting commentary. The MSNBC reporter in the following video (end of this post) is making points in his statement that I've been making for the past few years on my blog.

The vast majority of members of our police, intelligence, military and security apparatus are good people whose motivation is to help and serve the communities they work for.

A small minority of these members are corrupt and abuse their power by illegally and criminally attacking the citizenry whether they are protesters, individuals they don't like, organizations they don't agree with, etc.

A blind eye is turned to these crimes committed by that small minority which not only enables them to continue their criminal acts, but often times results in them promoting each other to higher levels in those agencies exacerbating the problem even further.

The higher the positions they hold the more damage they can and do inflict on the populace.

This activity occurs regularly in Canada and is ignored by those agencies, the media, the politicians, etc. no matter how much evidence is available to support the claims of this abuse. Those who complain are marginalized and further abused by the system.

The frame-up and on-going malicious persecution of Kevin Annett in 2010 and before, in Vancouver,  and the on-going malicious persecution of myself in Brampton, and for years previous in other communities, by certain individual police employees, members of the community, medical "professionals" and staff, social agency employees, businesses, etc. are just two examples. There is a mountain of evidence to support our claims. I am in touch with Canadians on the Internet who have been so terrorized by what is happening to them that they are terrified to identify themselves. Social activists, whistle-blowers, etc. are frequently targeted in this way.

On those rare occasions when police and state corruption is acknowledged, it's usually dealt with by toothless "public inquiries", the results of which are either ignored, buried, have no impact, or have a negative impact.

A recent example of this type of toothless "public inquiry" is the Missing Women Inquiry in Vancouver. Allegedly inquiring into the lack of investigation by the RCMP E-Division into the Pickton serial killings which resulted in approximately 50 murders (according to Pickton). One can only wait for the eventual and predictable white-wash.

In the end, these criminals are rarely held accountable for their crimes. They either retire or get ousted and are rewarded with cushy jobs elsewhere. RCMP Commissioner Elliot is going to be working as a UN Representative to Interpol at the taxpayers expense.

It's these criminals who are corrupt, who maliciously persecute and who abuse their power, whether they be members of the security/military apparatus, politicians, corporate executives, government employees, etc. who are responsible for the reduction of public confidence in our system and in our security apparatus.

They are the one's who are actively undermining our democratic system and it's time we stopped allowing them the special privilege of being above the law and immune to investigation and prosecution.

It's also time that those members of our police, intelligence, military and security apparatus who are good people and whose motivation is to help and serve the communities they work for, stand up to this corruption and expose it. That's how the special privilege of the corrupt among them will be removed.

If you care about the integrity and public reputation of the services you work for you'll speak out against the criminals in your midst.

WikiLeaks exists for a reason and is confidential and anonymous for a reason.

This is one example of the type of corruption and abuse of power that I, as one voice in the Occupy Toronto movement, want to see an end to.

Thank you to Lawrence O'Donnell of MSNBC for telling it like it is!

Occupy Toronto: To The CEOs

I caught a small part of a CBC Interview yesterday with a representative of an association that represents Canadian CEOs.

The CEO representative, when asked what he thought about the Occupy movement responded, a little defensively, that the democratic/capitalist model is the best one human beings have come up with because it’s the one that has been demonstrated to work.

He appeared to be implying that the Occupy Toronto movement was about eliminating capitalism.

In the interests of clarification, let me point out that the Occupy movement is about giving everyone a voice.

Not everyone is a communist, or even a leftist. A few are. Most are not.

Red-baiting is a strategy intended to discredit by using the logical fallacy of Guilt By Association. It’s a well-established form of Disinformation Propaganda.

I’m not saying that this CEO representative was engaging in the sleazy tactic of Red-baiting but his comments amounted to that, intentional or not.

Speaking for myself, I agree with the CEO representative that the democratic/capitalist model is the best one humanity has come up with and the most workable one.

That doesn’t mean that it can’t be undermined and corrupted and doesn’t need to be fixed.

This is the problem, in my opinion. It needs fixing and each and every one of us is going to have either the same or different opinions on what the fixes need to be.

In my opinion, when a few members of the wealthy elite hold an inordinate amount of power and influence over democratic policy making which is supposed to benefit all Canadians not just the wealthy elite then our democratic processes and our financial system are being undermined by that wealthy elite.

This opens the door for wide-scale corruption and abuse of power.

This is something we’ve been seeing in Canada for years now and which has never been seriously addressed other than having the occasional scandal where someone gets ousted from a political position.

This was the kind of stuff the old Reform Party used to talk about until they became the Conservative Party and appear to have changed their priorities.

I’m not saying that I agreed with the old Reform Party but I will say that they made some good points when criticizing the traditional political parties.

This is also the stuff that Michael Ignatieff has recently started talking about as well.

It’s probably a good thing for Ignatieff that he’s not leading the Liberal Party given the fact that the vast majority of corruption and abuse of power scandals that I am aware of, many of which were financial in nature, occurred when the Liberals were in power both Federally and Provincially.

Ignatieff is probably too ethical for the Liberals. They seem to prefer two-faced lying sleazeballs like Bob Rae (has anyone forgotten the hell he put Ontario through?)

Anyway, the Occupy movement has and is accomplishing one very important thing, amongst others:

The discussion of what is wrong and how it can be fixed is happening.

And that's what most of us want.

It’s a start.

Occupy Toronto: Declaration of the Occupy New York General Assembly

Note to the traditional media which is claiming that the Occupy Movement is only about "financial" corruption. As you can see below it isn't. It's about ALL corruption including the corruption the traditional media itself is infested with when they try to misrepresent and misdirect with misinformation, what is actually going on here.

Declaration of the Occupation of New York City

This document was accepted by the NYC General Assembly on september 29, 2011

Translations: French, Slovak, Spanish, German, Italian

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.

As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments.

We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.

They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.

They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices.

They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.

They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.

They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.

They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.

They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press. They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.

They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.

They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.

They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.

They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad. They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.

They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts. *

To the people of the world,

We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.

Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.

To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.

Join us and make your voices heard!

The Crime is Finally Unearthed - Making History on Mohawk Nation Land: An Eyewitness Report

by Kevin Annett

International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS)

The sun had just risen over the thick forests surrounding the oldest Indian residential school in Canada, and the site of the mass grave of children. All of us gathered there, native and white, seemed to hold our breath as Cheryl Squire of the Mohawk Nation Clan Mothers knelt over the grave of unknown children and gently parted the soil.

History was made that morning of October 1, 2011. For the long struggle to bring home the murdered children, and place their killers on trial, had finally begun.

For me, it was the start of something incredible, but also the end of a long journey that has spanned two decades. Every imaginable lie, threat, obstacle and attack has been deployed by criminals of church and state to stop what we did that morning, but all to no avail. For the real unveiling of the Canadian Holocaust has begun.

This final step commenced last April, when Cheryl Squire and eight other Mohawk elders had asked me in writing to come to their land in Brantford, Ontario and begin forensic surveys and digs on the grounds of what they call "the Mush Hole": the Mohawk Institute, set up by the Anglican Church of England in 1832 to imprison and destroy generations of Mohawk children. This very first Indian residential school in Canada lasted until 1970, and, like in most residential schools, more than half of the children imprisoned there never returned. Many of them are buried all around the school.

"I seen kids buried up to their necks in the ground for running away. I seen kids beaten and killed for taking apples off the tress" said one survivor of the Mush Hole, so designated because maggoty mush was the best children could expect in the way of food there.

The same survivor took me to the top of an underground cistern behind the school covered with a concrete slab.

"That's where they stuck kids for speaking their language" the elderly man said sadly. "I know a girl put in it who died down there. Maybe she's still there."

In search of such missing children, since October 1 I have worked with the Mohawk community to begin scanning the school lands with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) manned by experts, to locate the underground disturbances that can point to hidden graves. And helped by local seers and eyewitnesses, we have already identified five areas containing mass graves of children.

"One thing that's for sure is there's been incredible soil disturbances beside the school, and I mean tons of dirt piled in here" described Clynt King, the GPR technician. "Somebody is really trying to hide something here."

An understatement, indeed. For the government and churches of Canada have been burying the evidence of their residential schhol crimes for many years, most recently with an expensive whitewash called a "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" that doesn't allow names or crimes to be named, cannot subpoena evidence and absolves the churches for their murder of more than 50,000 residential school children. Our excavations at the Mush Hole are a direct challenge to this cover up, and to the entire colonial regime called Canada.

"This is another way, and a major way, that we're declaring our sovereignty and nationhood" explained Mohawk Wolf Clan elder Bill Squire, who helped authorize the dig.

"We can't have the cops or the courts come in here and call this a crime site, when they're the ones who caused this. We are establishing Mohawk jurisdiction over this investigation and we won't let the police in here. We are going to put Canada on trial for their murder of our children."

This isn't idle talk. For years, Squire's people - the Grand River Mohawks - have waged battles to preserve their dwindling land base, and they've stopped construction on their land by mobilizing hundreds of their people in big protests. The same unity is visible around the Mush Hole excavations this week, as many diferent factions of the Mohawks - the Men's Fire group, clan mothers, the traditional elders, and even government-funded band council chiefs - have all showed up to pledge their support for our inquiry.

News of this historic action has spread across the world media this week, but not surprisingly it's been completely blacked out in the Canadian press, despite a massive media blitz by the Mohawks. And yet regardless of coverup or indifference within Canada, the results of the digs and surveys in Brantford will be part of the deliberations of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), convened in Brussels last month to consider bringing charges of genocide against Canada and the Catholic, Anglican and United Church of canada, all of whom ran Indian residential schools.

For all of the unity among the Mohawks here, their efforts are facing a looming shut down and repression from the Canadian state and its churches. Already, undercover operatives have been unmasked in the ranks of the Mohawks, and there's talk that the RCMP or Ontario Provincial Police will shut down the excavations.

"We need every Canadian and every indigenous nation to help us now" said Bill Squire yesterday in a radio interview.

"We need you here to make a stand with us, and we need public statements of support. But most important, we need you to do these kinds of digs on your own territories. Start to bring your own residential school children home for a proper burial, 'cause nobody else will do it for you."

The digs at the Mush Hole have just begun, and will span many months. But for the survivors of torture and genocide there, the dig is a ray of hope, and a chance for justice.

"I been waiting my whole life for this" says Geronimo Henry, who was imprisoned in the Brantford school during the 1940's.

"I suffered in there for eleven years and I got a say in this, and I say it's time we bring these kids home for a proper burial. Their spirits have been wandering too long. And the people who caused it have gotten away with murder for too long."

Occupy Toronto: A Pumps and Brogues Movement

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.” – John Lennon, before his murder by Mark David Chapman

Why do some people find these occupations so incomprehensible?

One person was asked in a media interview, “what are you protesting? what do you want?” His response was, “if you have to ask you’ve got to much money.”

This is partially true but doesn’t quite nail it. It’s also about the complete disconnect that some have about the world we live in.

Call it naivete or gullibility or sheer stupidity or willful and self-serving ignorance. It exists. It’s a fact. And anyone who doesn’t get the Occupy movement suffers from this disease.

I got it right away. No-one had to tell me that the Occupy movement is about having a true Democracy. That was the point of the Arab Spring. It was a Democracy movement. That is also the point of the North American Autumn.

And no, many of us aren’t buying the deceptive delusion, the snake oil, that we’re being sold by the big media, big government which represents big corporate interests, the wealthy, etc. that we have a democracy, that we have rights, that those rights are protected.

We don’t have any of things. We have them on paper. We don’t have them in reality. If we did, there would be no need for an Occupy movement to push the envelope for a true Democracy. One that doesn’t just exist on paper. One that exists for each and every ordinary Citizen in reality.

The Occupy movement includes but is not limited to:
  1. the rights of the ordinary Citizen to have an effective say in our society.
  2. the economic protection of the wealthy and the economic abuse of the rest of us through the misuse and abuse of the tax dollars of those ordinary Citizens whose voices have been silenced.
  3. the rank moral bankruptcy and corruption that infests our governments, corporations, institutions, professional associations, etc. today.
  4. impunity of big corporations and the wealthy from being held accountable for criminal acts when they commit them.
  5. impunity of police, intelligence and other security agencies from being held accountable for enabling the rogue agents in their midst and their abuses of power, misappropriations of government funds, etc. by turning a blind eye to their abuses and criminal acts.
  6. the rights of ordinary Citizens that are violated with impunity regularly and those who are paid by ordinary Citizens through our tax dollars refusal to protect us from those violations or provide us with what we need to protect ourselves or criminally collude in those violations of the rights of ordinary Citizens.
  7. the silencing, marginalizing, smearing, harassing, malicious persecution, and other extreme and systematic abuses of ordinary Citizens who speak out against these criminal acts, this moral bankruptcy, abuse of power, etc. as well as innocent ordinary Citizens who are subjected to these abuses for no other reason than they can be.

Amongst other things ….

Just ask anyone who is there.

Most importantly, it's about giving the voiceless a voice which has an impact on our world.

I'm a Web and Software Developer and I'm unemployed.

I'll be there in my Business Casual suit, office pumps and briefcase.

If I'm going to get arrested for peacefully protesting, that's the image I want the world to see.

Exposing The Invisible: Stalking In Indian Country by Terri Hansen

Republished.

Ever feel you’re being watched?

Most Americans don’t pay much attention to their surroundings as they go about their daily business, but that’s not an option for the more than 3.4 million who become stalking victims each year.

Thirty-three percent of those stalking victims are Native American, more than any other race or ethnicity, according to a U.S. Department of Justice 2009 report, “Stalking Victimization in the United States.”

The sample size of Native Americans might have skewed that percentage, Shannon Catalano, a statistician with the DoJ said. “But in victimization that is something we see, a higher crime rate across the board against Native Americans.”

American Indian women suffer the highest rates of domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault of any population, reports another study by the Tribal Law and Policy Institute and the Southwest Center for Law and Policy. The majority of perpetrators of these crimes are non-Indian males.

“Stalkers are usually older, more intelligent, have higher levels of education and status, and are the most violent of all criminals,” says Ann Dapice, Ph.D., a Lenape/Cherokee and director of Education and Research at T.K. Wolf, Inc., an American Indian stalking authority.

Tamela Dawson dated, and left, the wrong man. “It started with psychological warfare,” Dawson, of Cherokee descent, says.

She came home to find that her furniture had been rearranged, and the crotches torn from her underwear. She figured her house was bugged when she told a friend she needed a soup ladle and one appeared soon after in her dishwasher. She suffered sleep deprivation when a noise campaign ensued.

“It started gradually, then escalated. Phone calls. Anything in my house that had an alarm feature they’d set at five minutes after the hour several times through the night, which would trigger my startle reflex multiple times,” says Dawson. “Wherever I went, up to 10 times a day, cars would either go by my home or follow me with a very distinct and recognizable pattern of honks,” says Dawson.

“They played songs over and over and wherever I went, I heard those songs. Sting’s ‘I’ll be watching you,’ and Stevie Wonders’ ‘Mon Cherie.’ Cars would park outside of my house in the middle of the night, or would do drive bys, with the songs blaring out their rolled-down windows.”

Her perpetrators worked her in stages. “With sophisticated psychological manipulation, a woman loses her problem solving ability,” Dawson says. “You’re operating at maybe 20 percent. You share the crazy things happening to you with your support structure, and that separates you from them. Once they’ve isolated you, they break you.”

Dawson says someone drugged the food in her home and later returned to rape her.

“I remember on several occasions coming out of whatever drugged state I was in to seeing multiple men in my room, and another time finding a man on top of me. I remember fighting to stay conscious and I couldn’t.” Her physical therapist saw bruises and asked if she was abused. Shocked, Dawson said no.

It wasn’t denial. “You’re so busy trying to stay one step ahead of the stalking, harassment, and noise, for me, there were no words. You just do not think.” Date rape drugs like Rohypnol, GHB, and Ketamine can cause memory problems and confusion even when used just once on a victim.

Her therapist’s suspicion prompted Dawson to contact police and hire a bodyguard.

“Get out of Santa Rosa,” police told her. “We cannot protect you. Go home to your family.” She moved home to Arkansas after her bodyguard turned to her, furious, asking what she’d done, if she’d testified against any one – because, he said, gang members were stalking her house. Dawson now believes her ex-boyfriend set her up for sexual trafficking.

Stalking is not a single, identifiable act but a series of actions meant to cause fear in the target. Some states define it to include lying-in-wait, surveillance, nonconsensual communication, telephone harassment or vandalism. It takes the form of theft, kidnapping and arson, killing pets, breaking and entering, and gaslighting—when perpetrators steal or hide insignificant items or make changes in a victim’s home to make them think they’re going crazy.

Dapice says stalkers use mind games to make victims ‘feel crazy,’ and successfully obtain help from others, called proxy stalkers. “Stalkers excel in planning, scheming and subtlety,” Dapice says. “They display obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and become addicted to their own brain chemicals. The longer they stalk the more obsessive they become, until they kill.”

Stalkers use technology like satellite global position systems (GPS), computers, and hidden cameras to track the daily activities of one in four victims. “Roving bug” programs installed into a cell phone can listen through its microphone, even when the phone is off.

The DoJ stalking study measured unwanted calls, texts, e-mails, notes or gifts, cyber-stalking, and posting information or spreading falsehoods about the victim on the Internet, in a public place, or by word of mouth. Dapice says stalkers also use electronic technology such as tracking devices, identity theft, mail theft, bank account theft, and wiretapping to expand their power.

Dawson’s stalkers dressed uniformly, like wearing red t-shirts and standing on every corner on her drive to work, or in the aisles at the grocery store, smirking. “A red t-shirt is not enough evidence to bring to someone’s attention, so only the victim knows,” she says.

Victims often report such bizarre behaviors they have trouble convincing others that it is happening—including the professional assigned to help them. “Stalkers are very smart, and the police don’t believe victims,” says Dapice. “Or they don’t like looking for clues, and putting the evidence together.”

T.K. Wolf’s board member Sheree Hukill Hukill listened to a woman who said she’d reported to the police that ‘God’ was talking to her each night when she went to bed. “As you can imagine, local law enforcement did not take her seriously. Eventually, one officer found the stalker had rigged an elaborate sound system under the woman’s house with speakers in her bedroom. Her stalker was the voice of ‘God’ telling her these very bizarre things.”

“Denial of the serious nature of this criminal behavior — and the high risk of  violence — is still endemic among mental health and law enforcement professionals,” forensic psychologist Reid Meloy Ph.D., a clinical professor of psychology at the University of California, San Diego says. “Only two percent of victims claim they are being stalked when in fact they are not.”

Dapice had a case where police told the victim if she called to report further evidence, they would lock her up. She’s even seen a case where rogue law enforcement officials cooperated with the stalkers.

T.K. Wolf interviewed law enforcement across the country and found a pattern of passing the buck, from police to district attorneys to judges to U.S. postal inspectors to FBI agents. In turn, Dapice says that social service providers, mental health experts, governmental agencies and private attorneys are unable or unwilling to provide services to victims.

Meanwhile, the physical and mental toll of stalking is staggering.

“Cortisol, meant for fight or flight in temporary danger continues acting, and continuous cortisol results in destruction of brain and body cells and organs,” says Dapice. “We know that post traumatic stress disorder induces cell loss in the brain and is related to depression. Worse is what I have named CATS – continuous, acute, traumatic syndrome, where the trauma continues over years and the victim remains in an acute trauma situation.”

The Tides Foundation funded a video documentary of stalking victims. Almost all have a cortisol “pudgy face” appearance, says Dapice. “Many victims gain weight in the abdomen; it’s nature’s once adaptive way of preparing the body for hard times ahead via a message from the stressor that caused the cortisol release originally. With weight gain comes cardiovascular problems.”

Agencies and the law often categorize stalking as domestic violence, limiting services to ‘known intimates.’ Yet this group represents only 30.3 percent of victims. ‘Known others,’ like co-workers, relatives, classmates, and neighbors account for 45.1 percent. A surprising one in four does not know their stalkers. Some is organized stalking, or “mobbing.” Others hide behind hired individuals who do their harassment for them.

“There are people who stalk relationships, people who stalk in order to do revenge, people who stalk political and entertainment figures,” says Dapice. “There is group and proxy stalking. There are different motives but whatever it is, it is always a power play.”

Stalkers will follow their victims from one jurisdiction to another – making it difficult for authorities to investigate and prosecute their crimes. “Often moving makes no difference,” says Dapice. “Stalkers will walk around a neighborhood and tell lies and stories about their victims.”

Dawson thought moving home to Arkansas would provide safety. She learned the campaign to discredit her had followed her when an elderly man, passing her on the street said, ‘You are disgusting.’ At her new job, “One day everyone loved me and I was doing a stellar job. The next day nobody would talk to me. People glared and stared at me, good people.”

“I was so traumatized I didn’t know where to start.”

Dawson’s gas-lighting incidents, slander, the following, and a noise campaign continue. Her story is remarkably similar to that of Vicki Burnett, a Minnesota Chippewa who lives in Nevada, and Elisabeth Buchanan and Diane Dillon, both Metis women living in British Columbia, Canada, who also report having had sonic devices used to ward off animals trained on them from a distance, and radar devices that measure a car or baseball’s speed that cause great discomfort when aimed at humans.

Like Dawson, Burnett’s terror began as stalking. Then came fuzzily waking to men in her room. Suspecting rape, but not knowing which nights the assaults took place, Burnett’s doctor offered to test her hair for drugs. “But they charged $500, and my medical insurance said it wasn’t medically necessary.”

After waking to unaccounted pinpoint bruises on her forearms and legs, and her stalker’s uncanny ability to track her, Burnett suspects her stalkers injected a radio-frequency identification microchip. She woke once to IV apparatus and tubing in her bedroom and called the police, “but all they could do was take a report, because nothing was taken from my house, and there was no physical assault.

Kits that let you inject a grain of rice sized tracking chip into pets with a hypodermic then track them with a handheld radio-wave scanner sell on popular sites such as Amazon. Today’s scanners can locate a chip as far as 30 to 60 feet away, and interface with computers. Chips can also hide in a woman’s purse, but if found would serve as hard evidence.

Burnett wants an MRI to prove her suspicions but faces physicians leery of ordering a scan without medical justification, or worse, ordering her to a psychiatrist.

Human rights advocate Debbie Newhook lives in the picturesque harbor community of Nanaimo on British Columbia’s Vancouver Island. She knows seven stalking victims in her community. Two are Native, and one has MRI and CAT scans that prove she has implants.

“Her doctor will not remove them until she has legal counsel, but no one will take her case,” Newhook says. “All doors seem to be slammed shut even when medical imaging proves that there is some kind of foreign object in their bodies.”

Most of the violence in Indian country has been non-Natives against Natives, and not because stalking victims are on tribal lands, Dapice says. “No one, Indian or non-Indian who is stalked gets any help.” Worse, some people blame the victims so they are afraid to come out of the closet.

Men make up 27 percent of stalking victims, and are often doubly victimized “because police will say ‘what’s wrong with you, why can’t you protect yourself?’” Dapice said the police blame the judges, and the judges blame the system. “Everyone blames everyone else and eventually it’s somebody else’s fault, and nothing gets done.”

Dawson’s goal is to expose her stalking and sexual trafficking story. “If we can engage women’s groups, we’ll have success in fighting it.”

“People who go along with this kind of extra judicial punishment because they believe the lies and slander about the victim should be ashamed of themselves for participating in this harassment,” Newhook says. “The people who are misusing energy devices against their neighbors should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

Communities that understand stalking and support its victims help to combat the crime. The only thing that’s going to stop it, says Dapice, “is peer pressure.” Don’t accept lies or rumors that generate hate about the victim.

“If we are to stop stalking, we must believe the victims and the statistics and then take action on multiple fronts,” says Dapice. “We must educate each other on the causes and effects of stalking, and bring all players to the table: victims, social service agencies, law enforcement, attorneys, judiciary, mental health professionals, medical professionals, employers, governmental agencies, scientific researchers, media and the faith communities. All must work together and be held accountable.”

If a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member thinks they’re being stalked, encourage them to take it seriously and get help. If you or someone you know is a victim, visit the National Stalking Awareness Month, National Center for Victims of Crime or the DoJ’s Office on Violence Against Women for information and links to state and regional resources.
